Label Adhesives
The adhesive vinyl that we use has either a solvent adhesive or water-based adhesive, used in differing applications. Solvent based adhesive is used so that the sticker doesn’t shrink over time, this is a ‘must have’ feature when it comes to labelling products that might remain on the shelves for a while or for labelling control panels on machinery with recesses to fit the stickers. Water-based adhesives are used when the solvent adhesive might eat into the surface making the product compromised, such as Hard Hat stickers which require water-based adhesive. Both adhesives can be used indoors and outdoors.
Printed labels with great resolution & clarity
The resolution that we can print is dependent on the material. Materials without a digital coating will not print well, some of the cheaper materials that are coated on cheaper or older processing machines won’t be uniform throughout the printing process. We only use adhesive material that has been produced by EU manufacturers using state of the art modern processing machinery. This ensures that the very first and last labels that we print will match in colour and material. For this reason we’ve gained the reputation of being one of the UK’s best label printers.
To print your labels & stickers in high resolution we use colour profiles to ensure that the materials receive the correct amount of ink. With too much ink printed on the adhesive media you’ll get a blurred image, with not enough ink you’ll get incorrect colours and poor saturation. We use our years of experience to gauge when the print looks as much like the screen proof you receive as possible.
